To join the Service de police de Laval

To join the Service de police de Laval as a police officer, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold Canadian citizenship.
  • Hold a diploma for completing the Basic Training Program in Police Patrolling  (PFIPG) at the École nationale de police du Québec (ÉNPQ) or an equivalence from the ÉNPQ.

    or

  • Applied for admission to the Basic Training Program in Police Patrolling at the ÉNPQ.  

    or

  • Be in the third year of the college program in Police technology.
  • Hold a class 4A driver’s license.
  • Have a good command of the French language (written and spoken) and a good knowledge of English.
  • Demonstrate honesty and integrity, respect for the law, and an ability to maintain good relations. You must not have any criminal convictions.
